How Does Online Tutoring Work?

First, you need a computer and internet connection.

I create an interactive whiteboard using Zoom.

You click on the invitation I emailed to you earlier.

We explore a concept or do some problems about the concept.

You can use a mousepad to write, but a tablet helps a great deal.  I use a Wacom tablet and an Apple pen.  Still a mousepad is doable.

Because we are sharing the screen, it's just like sitting in the same room, doing the problems or exploring concepts together.

Headphones with a microphone helps, but a quiet room will do.

What is Math Tutoring?

Some students need to improve basic skills, such as multiplication facts, basic equation solving, fraction operations, etc.

Skill work is best improved through regular weekly sessions. Do you need to improve your past math skills? Email me at

mathmusicfarm@gmail.com

or call me at 308-537-7538.

Some students struggle with understanding new concepts or homework.

I can help you with concepts in General Math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Algebra II, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus,  Statistics, and College Algebra

Together we will figure out what concepts or skills you find difficult, then we will look at the process in small chunks.

I can send you home with a video copy of our work for the hour, and if needed, some similar problems to work at home.

Some students find the class pace to slow, for them we explore topics their course will eventually cover.

You will be surprised how soon your confidence and abilities improve.
